I wore the red-clouded cloak as a mask, not a creed. To the world, I was a defector who slaughtered his own blood. To Konoha's Third Hokage and a handful who knew the truth, I was an informant walking inside the organization that hunted the tailed beasts — reporting their movements while protecting the village I was exiled from.
Partnered with Kisame Hoshigaki of the Seven Swordsmen, I fought beside a man who respected strength above all — and never learned, until the very end, which side of the war I actually served.
